Betaine is a simple, small molecule naturally found in and derived from the sugar beet (Beta vulgaris), from which it gets its name. Betaine has demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties against erythema and skin irritations. It is often used in soaps and skin and hair cleaning products partly for its anti-inflammatory properties.

The oil is particularly effective against dermatitis, itchy and irritated skin, burns, fungal infections and parasites. It is also very successfully used in the treatment of wounds, cuts, abrasions, and all sorts of infections.

 

hemp seed oil

morus alba leaf extract (mulberry leaf)

The Methanolic and Ethanolic extract of Morus indica was screened against five different pathogens and showed significant antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Aspergillus niger and Penicillium. It has been observed that ethanolic extract has maximum antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus.

 

phellodendron amurense bark extract (amur cork tree)

A traditional East Asian medicine that has a couple of recent studies to back up its positive effects on the skin. It seems to have potent anti-inflammatory activity, it's a mild antioxidant and also has strong anti-bacterial effect.
